About Helicobacter Pylori (H. Pylori)

H. Pylori is a small, spiral shaped bacterium that lives on the surface of the stomach and duodenum (the first part of the small intestine) and can be associated with a variety of gastrointestinal diseases, including duodenal and gastric ulcers, non-ulcer dyspepsia, active and chronic gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining), and some stomach cancers.
